Bromley and Biggin Hill MP Peter Fortune talked to local pensioner Dennis in Hayes today about Labour's decision to cut winter fuel payments for millions of pensioners on Channel 4's The Political Slot.
Peter said: "The Conservatives have always protected pensioners. It's the right thing to do. People who have worked hard, saved, paid into a system and done the right thing. Our country can afford to keep pensioners warm. By cutting winter fuel payments, Labour is choosing not to."
